I say that every year

All the plants around the pond are growing so quickly this year. Of course, I say that every year.

A good tennis ball

Lucy loves herself a good tennis ball.

I assume

Dale has been spoiling me for my "40 Days & Nights of Tom" birthday extravaganza. So far I have reviewed a tripod for my camera, a birthday card, a cupcake, gum, an edamame salad and a chai tea latte. Isn't he sweet? So far these have been a great six days...well except for the ear infection. Only 34 days left to celebrate. I assume day 40 will be a puppy.

Greeted me

This beautiful peony greeted me right as I walked in the backyard this evening. I love the white edges.

Photos from first two days of San Francisco trip

I took over 350 pictures in San Francisco this weekend. I will not bore you will all the photos, but here are a few of my favorites from the first two days. It was a great trip for Dale and I with our friends Sandy and Steve Stubbendick.

This is the apartment we stayed at on Folsom Street.

Here I am posing with the city from our balcony.

Relaxing.

The Golden Gate Bridge is stunning.

Dale and Sandy with the Bridge.

I love this shot through the grass.

Near the Cliff House where we at dinner.

Choppy waters.

The beach.

Sun is starting to set.

Sandy and Steve at Sutros at the Cliff House.

Amazing sunset from our table at dinner.

On day two we waited in line to eat at Mama's for breakfast.

Dale and Sandy at Mama's. The food was AMAZING.

View of the city as we headed to Alcatraz.

Alcatraz.

I am not a huge fan of seagulls, but he seemed nice.

All of us at Alcatraz.

View of Angel Island.

Breathtaking views from Alcatraz.

Such a beautiful city.

Me and my love.

Dale loved these plants.

Some of the buildings at Alcatraz are in ruins.

View of Golden Gate Bridge from Alcatraz.

So beautiful.

These seagull found the perfect place to nest.

Beautiful wall of flowers.

More of the flowers and bay.

All the sailboats.

The cells were incredibly small. And sad.

Life behind bars was not easy...especially when the most beautiful city sits 1 mile away.

I always suspected this day would come.

Harshness of Alcatraz against the beauty in the bay.

More of life in Alcatraz.

We told her to look sad.

We went to the Aquarium. They had lots of fish...like Nemo here.

Looking at sharks and fish.

They had a spot for kids to play. Well...kids and Steve.
I got a hat.

Look Sandy...sharks.

Clowning around.

The boats at Pier 39.

Pier 39.

More of Pier 39.

Sandy and Dale at the Carousel.

Self explanatory.

The sea lions were a blast.

So sleepy.

They were like kids playing.

Sailboat.

Me on a double decker bus tour.

Steve and Sandy on the bus.

And Dale.

Chocolate.

And ice cream.

We had an incredible dinner and House of NanKing. The owner/chef brought us what he thought we liked. And he did a great job.

As you can see...we ate lots. And loved it.
