It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

I am watching this as I write this blog. Such a wonderful story of faith. I always loved Linus and his ability to believe no matter what. This program is such a fond memory of my childhood. My Mom always made sure we got to watch the program each year as kids. She would make my sister and I popcorn and give us soda. It was always so special and would get me so excited for trick-or-treating. I miss her, but it is nice to have something as wonderful and pure as the Peanuts Gang each year to help me remember her.

I love that every house Charlie Brown goes to gives him a rock. Poor guy. I guess we all feel that each of us has a little bit of each the the Peanuts Gang in us. The hopelessness of Charlie Brown, the adventure nature of Snoopy, the free- spirit of Woodstock, the faith and kindness of Linus, the clueless nature of Sally, the cruelty of Lucy and the gay tendencies of Peppermint Patty. Well, maybe not all of us.
